STACKED FOOTWEAR COLLECTION
This fall, Vans takes two of the brand’s time-honored silhouettes, the Era and Sk8-Hi and elevates them with oversized features and layers for an entirely new take on its heritage models. Using platform bumpers, an exaggerated outsole and translucent foxing tape, Vans introduces a bold interpretation of fashion’s current exaggerated sneaker trend, to debut this June.
Vans’ original skate shoe, the Era, kicks off the three-piece collection and utilizes the original multi-panel construction with cotton-canvas uppers available in two colorways. Each model is accented with a platform upper; the white/checkerboard colorway sees an oversized checkerboard heel bumper beneath and translucent outsole with a stacked gum bumper at the toe. A second installment of the Era uses dual-tone purple and black uppers with pink and translucent sea green outsole that is accented with an oversized confetti bumper. Offering a contemporary take on the Sk8-Hi, a teal Sidestripe decorates the two-tone uppers. The high-top is finished with teal translucent tape atop the platform sole layered with traditional gum rubber and a confetti glitter toe bumper and pink heel. Each model in the Stacked Collection is finished with Vans Wafflesaw, a modern expression of the brand’s vulcanized outsole.
The Stacked Collection is available in Vans retail stores and online at vans.eu from mid-June.
